What’s new in the sequel?
With the date announcement of Breathe: Into The Shadow Season 2 and trailer release, the popularity of this series is on a new level. This interesting series of shades shows how a father’s love can give and take life.
The Shadow is an appropriate title that gives exactly the same vibe while watching it. Season 2 also has the same feel as its predecessor. There is nothing common with the first season. It’s a thematic sequel to answer the same question as the first series. The story is plotted with the tagline, “a father’s love can save a life or take one.”
To recap, this story is set sometime after the events of the first season. There is no Danny and Kabir this season, the entire season focuses on family man Avinash. Unfortunately, when a masked kidnapper kidnaps Avinash’s daughter Siya, his world is turned upside down.
Abhishek Bachchan is the whole soul of this Amazon Prime series, in which he plays different emotions: angry smolder, creepy smolder, charming smolder, and fatherly smolder. He always gives his best shot and gets deeper into the character, which connects him with the audience.

Story of the Series
Avinash Sabharwal (Abhishek Bachchan): is a psychiatrist living in Gurgaon with his wife, a chef named Abha (Nithya Menen). They are caught up in a nightmare after their 6-year-old daughter is kidnapped. Their daughter is a juvenile diabetic patient who is on insulin injections four times a day.
After nine months, the kidnapper, a masked man, approaches the couple and asks them to commit a series of murders in order to save their daughter. The concept of murder appears to have a thematic connection with Ravana mythology. Season 2 is not a one-man show, Avinash and Abha are both involved in crime, from figuring out the cryptic messages to planning and executing the killing.
Inspector Kabir Sawant (Amit Sadh) continues his role in the second season, where he is wearing the mantle of a character that will go to the bottom of things. In every problematic serial killer story, there is a cop who comes to the rescue. You will see the cat-and-mouse chasing scene between Avinash and Kabir to capture and uncover the kidnapper and serial killer.
In a parallel plot line, we meet Kabir Sawant (Amit Sadh), who returns to his previous season’s role as a police officer. He has been moved from the Mumbai Crime Branch to the Delhi Crime Branch and is not seen holding an alcohol bottle in every frame like he was the last time. The character’s first appearance is in jail, which surprises us all.
