Aarya returns for the last time to say goodbye to the fans with the final four episodes. Aarya’s journey was filled with thrills and shocks from a housewife to a don. No one had ever imagined that this bumpy road would end with Aarya’s death.
The whole storyline is based on the Dutch show ‘Penoza.’ Ram Madhvani created the first season of ‘Aarya, ‘which became a blockbuster. The amazing acting of Susmita Sain, the memory trail of Tej Sareen (Chandrachur Singh) with the romantic song Bade Ache Lagte Hai, and the war between her family and the Russian drug mafia made this series more interesting.
Journey Of Aarya: From An Innocent Mother To Hard-bitten Don
The first season of Aarya was all about a woman who got to know how her loved ones killed her husband and betrayed her. She lost her love, her brother, her sister, her friends, and, in the end, her father, but she made sure that her children were saved. An innocent mother who got to know the dark side of her own family and tried everything to protect her family. At the end of the season, she started to turn to the dark side.
The second season was equally interesting. In this season, fans witnessed an innocent mother-of-three turning into a violent drug supplier who shook hands with the Russian Mafia, corrupt police officers, and Sampat (her father’s trusted goon) to be the queen of illegal opium farming.
In this series, she got to know about her mother’s past and her biological father. Not only this, but her best friend killed Nandini (her biological father’s daughter) by accident, which was the twist and the plot for the last season.
The End Of Aarya: Antim Vaar
The thrill of Aarya started with a stylish and sassy Aarya. The main story got lost with multiple enemies, like Suraj (Indraneil Sengupta as a vengeful husband), Nalini Sahiba (Ila Arun as the canny high priestess), and the Russian mafia.
The latest season of Aarya has left us feeling underwhelmed. It’s painfully obvious that the flaws we overlooked in the earlier seasons are now front and center. The once likable and relatable children of Aarya (Bajaj, Vazirani, Panwar) have turned into unbearable whiners, making it hard for us to root for them. On top of that, the plot feels aimless and disjointed, with Kulkarni’s policewoman barely getting any screen time and Kumar’s detective left with little to work with.
Even the other characters seem floundering, like Arun and her eccentric son Seth, Pradhan, and Kher as Aarya’s conflicted loyalists. And let’s not forget the new Nigerian characters who join the Russian mobsters in their laughable attempts at being menacing.
But most disappointing of all is Sen’s portrayal of Aarya. While she still looks stunning in her ethnic Rajasthani outfits, her composed demeanor and carefully crafted looks can’t save the lackluster script. Aarya only shines in one breakout moment, leaving the rest flat and the finale underwhelming.
It’s a shame that the show has lost its spark and failed to live up to the standards set by its earlier seasons.
