Then, Dosanjh will portray legendary Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali’s “Chamkila,” alongside Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot Kaur. This Netflix release is set for April 12. In a recent statement, he emphasized that money isn’t his primary concern when choosing projects. Reflecting on a recent decision to decline “a big film,” Dosanjh explained, “I am currently working with Imtiaz Ali (on Chamkila). Yesterday only I rejected a big film. I don’t do something just for the sake of money, something I don’t feel like doing. I only do it if I like the subject. Yesterday, I heard a script from my favourite director’s production house but I said, ‘I don’t see myself in this.”
