He revealed that his focus on pride over monetary gain has guided his decisions. Dosanjh expressed, “I live for pride. If I had cared about money, I would have done more films, more marriage shows, 4-5 Punjabi films every year.”
He emphasized his pursuit of fame and the satisfaction derived from quality work. Furthermore, he disclosed that he doesn’t possess a life insurance policy, highlighting the uncertainty inherent in his profession and the absence of a guaranteed retirement plan.

In 2024, Diljit Dosanjh fans are in for a treat with exciting projects lined up. First up, he’ll star alongside Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Kapil Sharma in the film “Crew,” directed by Rajesh Krishnan, hitting theaters on March 29.
Then, Dosanjh will portray legendary Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali’s “Chamkila,” alongside Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot Kaur. This Netflix release is set for April 12. Additionally, he’ll reunite with Neeru Bajwa in “Jatt & Juliet 3,” directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, slated for a theatrical release on June 28.
Diljit Recalles Saying No To A Big Film
Diljit Dosanjh, renowned for his roles in films like “Udta Punjab,” remains steadfast in his values despite numerous movie offers.
In a recent statement, he emphasized that money isn’t his primary concern when choosing projects. Reflecting on a recent decision to decline “a big film,” Dosanjh explained, “I am currently working with Imtiaz Ali (on Chamkila). Yesterday only I rejected a big film. I don’t do something just for the sake of money, something I don’t feel like doing. I only do it if I like the subject. Yesterday, I heard a script from my favourite director’s production house but I said, ‘I don’t see myself in this.”
