In this edition, we feature Murad Ali Khan, a distinguished sarangi artist from the Moradabad gharana, with a musical lineage dating back to the 18th century. Trained by his grandfather, Ustad Siddique Ahmad Khan, father, Ustad Ghulam Sabir Khan, and mentors like Padmashri Shubha Mudgal and Ustad Rashid Khan, Murad Ali is dedicated to preserving and passing on the sarangi tradition. He will perform with his disciples from the Saurang Parampara Ensemble, accompanied by a captivating dialogue with Aneesh Pradhan, a renowned tabla artist, teacher, and musicologist.
