Sama’a: Qawwali Presentation by Nizami Bandhu

Sufi music is a revered art form practiced across various regions of the world, through a diverse range of genres. In the Indian subcontinent, it is expressed through vocal forms such as ghazal, qawwali, and various regional folk styles, particularly from Rajasthan, Punjab, and Sindh. Though primarily performed in dargahs (Sufi shrines) today, these genres have gained widespread popularity thanks to the mystic poetry composed by poets throughout the ages. Among them, qawwali is considered the most accessible form, leading listeners to a spiritual crescendo through its music.
