Saiyami posted the still along with a moving message about the movie and its journey on Twitter. She wrote, “A project with some of the nicest people I’ve met. That let me play a sport that I love. That let me play one of the most challenging roles I’ve played thus far; both emotionally & physically. It feels too good to be true. And I hope to continue playing even more. Ghoomer.”
What R Balki said about Ghoomer?
The renowned filmmaker has already completed the filming of Ghoomer, and the movie is in its editing stage. Given the seemingly gripping story and first look, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if more and more people will find Ghoomer a masterpiece.
“Ghoomer is a unique story. It’s almost like inventing a new ball in cricket. It is a story of a girl, a cricketer, who loses her hand and how a person inspires her to become a champion,” Balki told PTI here on the sidelines of the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

Ghoomer, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher is all set for its theatrical release on August 18, 2023. In addition, the R Balki-directed movie will also be premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023.
