She stunned everybody as she was looking a vision in the black when she brought down the curtains at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive edition’s Lakme Absolute Grand Finale 2019. Wrapped in an all-black off-shoulder ensemble with layers of silk and net, the actor walked the ramp for closing designers Gauri and Nainika.

She let her hair down and finished the look with bold dark lip color in an emphasis Lakme’s theme this season #FreeYourLips centered at the freedom of expression. Well, we can agree on the fact that nobody competes for the grace and elegance with which Bebo walks on the ramp. The actor, who is the face of Lakme, said her relationship with the makeup brand is almost 10 years which is special.

Addressing the reporters after the event, Kareena Kapoor said that the show ’embodies the power of women.’ She stated, “Walking each season again feels very special. Thanks to Lakme, I’m getting a chance to strut for the best of the best. This feels more special because of Gauri and Nainika. We embody the power of women. The freedom of what women want, whether it is about being married, wanting to work, wanting to make your voice heard,” reports PTI.

Talking about the collection, the designers said they tried to keep the range consistent with their DNA which is tied in with being glamorous and feminine. The designer said in an interview with PTI, “there is a feeling of lightness in the fabrics that we are using, the whole philosophy behind the lipsticks, the matte lipsticks are lightweight, we got the lightness and freedom to the line with a sense of women empowerment edginess as well.”

Lots of oversized silhouettes and bows, with solid colors of monochrome, red, green, hot pink, ruled the collection, alongside florals and sequins. Adding further about Gauri and Nainika’s designs, the brand ambassador of Lakme stated, “Their style is very glam and fluid, and I adore how they have translated #FreeYourLips and can hardly wait for everyone to see their vision on the Finale runway. This theme has inspired the new Matte Revolution lipsticks which I love”.
