Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, recently seen in Amar Singh Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh, made a fascinating career choice by opting for the musical biopic over Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster Animal. In a recent interview with Rajat Sharma on his show Aap Ki Adalat, Parineeti shared the thought process behind her decision, emphasizing her belief in destiny and the powerful opportunities that came with Chamkila.
Parineeti revealed that she was nearly finalized for the role in Animal when she received the offer for Amar Singh Chamkila. She described her decision: “To be honest, I think the higher power had something better planned for me.” The opportunity to collaborate with legendary music director AR Rahman and renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and showcase her singing talent made Chamkila an irresistible project. The film, which premiered on Netflix on April 12, garnered immense love, critical acclaim, and respect, affirming to Parineeti that choosing Chamkila was the right move for her career.

She posted a clip of Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur performing their iconic song Pehle Lalkare live. She expressed her admiration with pink heart emojis and tagged Diljit Dosanjh and director Imtiaz Ali, suggesting a lighthearted idea of doing a sequel. Imtiaz Ali, amused by her enthusiasm, shared her story with laughing emojis.
