I have received excellent commendations and awards for two of my plays Certificate 16 and The Pillowman. About Certificate 16 - The play travels through 5 levels of media certification of the German rating system the Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft (FSK) but frames it in the Indian standards of film certification. The characters are from different regions of India- Adil from Kashmir Saniya from Bihar and Mallika from Delhi (played by me). The regional differences existing in the social context find a place in the linguistics and cultural differences of the characters and its politics. A cinema hall in Delhi serves as the setting for the plan that the girls have for Adil. About The Pillowman -The Pillowman is a 2003 play by Irish playwright Martin McDonagh. A writer of short stories that often depict violence against children, has been arrested by two detectives because some of his stories resemble recent child murders. When he hears that his sister Neena (played by me) has confessed to the murders and implicated the writer he resigns himself to his execution but attempts to save his stories from destruction. The play contains both narrations and reenactments of several of his stories in the setting of an interrogation room. I have also acted in a scoop whoop video and an online advertisement for a travel portal. Languages: I speak fluent English and Hindi.
