Bollywood star Ranveer Singh felt really happy to walk on a special stage by the Ganges River in Varanasi last Sunday, with actress Kriti Sanon. He said it was much better than walking in fancy hotels in Mumbai. This fashion show happened at Namo Ghat in Varanasi and was put together by famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra.

Describing the event as “amazing” and a “once in a lifetime chance,” Ranveer shared, “I was chatting with the other models backstage, and we realized that while we’ve walked in many fashion shows, this experience is truly unique! Strutting along the banks of the Ganga River felt far more special than walking at fancy banquets in Mumbai.”
He said, “This event shows how amazing our weavers are at making things. We really thank Mr. Narendra Modi for helping and supporting our weavers. Today feels special and full of good vibes. PM Narendra Modi has made a big difference in Kashi during these 10 years.”
Kriti Dressed in Red Coloured Banarasi Silk Lehenga
At the fashion show, Kriti Sanon wore a beautiful red Banarasi silk lehenga. She looked stunning, with a golden dupatta and a maang-tikka adding to her charm.
Ranveer Wrote A Golden Silk Kurta For the Event
Ranveer appeared majestic in a shiny gold silk kurta, paired with a black dhoti and a similar shawl. Videos of the actors strutting down the ramp were posted online. In these clips, Ranveer and Kriti can be seen happily greeting the crowd from the stage. They gracefully walked the ramp while colorful fireworks lit up the sky, accompanied by the lively beats of drums and temple bells.
Kriti Sanon Spoke on Promoting the Heritage of Kashi
Excited to wear a beautiful Banarasi lehenga, Kriti also talked about supporting Kashi’s heritage. She said, “What’s amazing about Banarasi sarees is that each one is unique. It takes days to make just one. This should be shared with the world. I’m happy to be part of this effort. Kashi is a great example of progress with heritage.”
Manish Malhotra Shared A Picture With Ranveer and Kriti From The Show
The well-known fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, posted a photo of himself with Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon from the show. He said he was very happy and wrote, “With my special inspirations tonight in #kashi #varanasi,” and added red heart emojis.
Before the event, both Ranveer and Kriti went to the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple. They prayed there, along with Manish Malhotra.
