As the waves of Shah Rukh Khan’s success continue to spread in 2023, ‘Jawan’ has surpassed this year’s blockbuster ‘Gadar 2’ in earnings within just nine days of its release. The film has earned a global total of Rs. 696 Crore, outshining ‘Gadar’s’ worldwide collection of Rs. 679.69 Crore.
2023 seems to belong to Shah Rukh Khan, with chart-topping hits like ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan.’ The list of SRK’s dominance on the big screen this year may expand further as his new movie ‘Dunki,’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is yet to be released. If this happens, the odds are high that King Khan will score a hat-trick.
Jawan Beats Gadar 2 In Just 9 Days of Opening
Directed by the highly acclaimed Tamil director Atlee, ‘Jawan’ has become this year’s biggest blockbuster with a massive worldwide response. The inclusion of Tamil industry’s big names like Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara alongside SRK has worked tremendously. The film has managed to surpass ‘Gadar 2’s’ collection in just 9 days, a remarkable feat.
With a gross collection of Rs. 21.90 Crore and Rs. 20.20 Crore on its eighth and ninth days, ‘Jawan’ has earned a whopping Rs. 696 Crore worldwide. In contrast, the other blockbuster of the year, ‘Gadar 2,’ earned Rs. 679.69 Crore after 35 days, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.
Will Jawan or Pathaan join the Rs 1000 crore club by the end of the year?
Given the response that SRK’s two films, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan,’ have received so far, the odds are higher that they might join the Rs. 1,000 Crore club. If this happens, it will make history, and some Bollywood experts even believe it will be a rare achievement.
The year 2023 still has a lot in store, as upcoming Bollywood movies like ‘Fukrey 3’ are also expected to perform well. So, we can expect to see SRK’s Jawan making more new records!
