Miss Diva is a beauty pageant that is held in India every year by the Femina Miss India organization. The winner represents India at the Miss Universe pageant, the event which was started in 2013.
The first edition of the event was held on 5th September 2013 at Westin Mumbai Garden City, Mumbai. The first Miss Diva Universe was Manasi Moghe.
In all these years, the event is leaving a legacy and a defining moment for spirited women, those young ladies who dream of thinking big and achieving.
How did Miss Diva start?
After the Miss Universe Organization gave the franchise back to Bennett Coleman and Co., a Miss Diva pageant was organized with the motive to send the winner to represent India at a Miss Universe event.
Earlier Femina Miss India would be sending the winners, however, things changed in 2010. That year, Tantra Entertainment Private Limited with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen organized a separate pageant, I Am She-Miss Universe India. However, in 2012, they replenished the Miss Universe license and thereon started Miss Diva 2013, now to be organized by the Femina Miss India Organization.
Miss Diva 2013
Miss Diva 2013 was the first event organized at Westin Mumbai Garden, on September 5th, 2013. Manasi Moghe was crowned the winner and represented India at Miss Universe 2013. The event was held in Russia, where she was among the top ten finalists.
The first runner-up was Gurleen Grewal to represent India as Miss Diva International 2013. The event was held in Tokyo the same year. Second runner-up Srishti Rana made history by representing India at the Miss Diva Asia Pacific World 2013 and won this prestigious pageant.
Miss Diva 2014
The second contest was organized on October 19th, 2014, and the winner was Noyonita lodh. She was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2014. Noyonita participated in Miss Universe 2014 pageant, which was held in Doral, USA on 25th January 2015.
She was among the top 15th finalists. Other winners were Alankrita Sahai- Miss Diya Earth, and which second runner-up was Asha Bhat. These both ladies represented India in their respective beauty pageants. Miss Earth 2014 and Miss Supranational 2014, respectively.
Miss Diva 2015
The beauty pageant, Miss Diva 2015 was held on October 14. In the grand event, Urvashi Rautela was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2015 and represented India at the Miss Universe 2015. Natasha Assadi got judged the first runner-up and Naveli Deshmukh the second.
Miss Diva 2022
This year too, Miss Diva was back with a power punch performance and chose the best among the best who would represent India on the global stage, like Miss Universe and Miss Supernational. It was the 10th glorious year and had been a launchpad for many aspiring careers, and the crown was on Divita Rai.
LIVA became the third time partner with Miss Diva empowering the uninhibited women of India. It is one of the leading platforms on which these aspirant beauty queens are dreaming of landing.
